As you will probably know, this week the Rebbe’s library released thousands of images from their manuscript library. There are so many files and there is not a consistent cataloguing approach, so you can always stumble across something surprising. The Rebbe would use these manuscripts for personal use and to prepare books for publication, so there are handwritten notes by the Rebbe throughout the collection.

For this week’s Ksovim I will share a few examples of the Rebbe’s notes on different manuscripts with links to explore further.


MS 329

A buch of maamorim of the Tzemach Tzedek with a note by the Rebbe taped onto the inside cover:

MS 2106

An index in the Rebbe’s hand of a bichel of maamorim of the Tzemach Tzedek with references to where they are published in Sefer Hachakirah.


MS 694

A bichel with a collection of maamorim from different Rebbeim with two pages of a typed index at the beginning with edits in the Rebbe’s hand in pencil.


MS 689

A collection of maamorim from different Rebbeim which the Rebbe notes was received from בנימינסאן. There is also attached a note from Rabbi Groner where the Rebbe adds:
